I’m eclectic, a lover of big ideas and worthy people, especially teachers, kids, and all the folks that want to make a difference in this world. I feel so privileged to work with faculty, staff, and students in our EDTECH program at Boise State.
I started in professional education as an elementary school teacher…wait, I actually started as a teaching assistant! That’s where I realized it’s so important to have fun during learning. Being inquisitive and playing games are still a part of what I do today, and permeate my research and teaching. I’m passionate in my work, and hold high standards for myself and others, while striving to remain light of heart. Quite a feat! I’m eternally fascinated by the impact technology is having on society, our relationships, and our minds.
My family are my best friends–my creative husband, my two athletic, intelligent, and funny sons, and my beautiful and dedicated daughter. Our singing canary, Tweety, adds lovely notes to life at home.
