George Veletsianos has come up with a very cool idea. Using digressit, a plugin for WordPress that lets you comment on text sentence by sentence, he has offered up his tentative spring syllabus on online learning in the participatory age by creating Hack My Syllabus! Veletisianos has tentatively mapped out his weekly topics and readings, and left it open for students to comment on. What a great example of participatory learning! It looks like a very cool course, as well.
If participatory learning is new to you, check out Henry Jenkin’s work on new media literacies. Become proactive in your own learning and the learning of others, participate in the network! How do you participate? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
